Normal ≠ Optimal
Normal is overrated. Just because it is normal does not mean we should accept it as our reality.
Normal does not equal optimal.
Normal is easy. Normal is falling in line. Normal is not challenging the way it has always been done. Normal is being a factory worker, as Seth Godin would say.
To no fault of the worker, that is just the product of our industrial and education system.
But normal can be a set of handcuffs. It can, and is, be a barrier to progress and innovation. Normal can be a starting point for improvement, but it cannot be the end goal.
As change makers and leaders, we are not called for normal. Identify normal and action for optimal.
